Best time to visit
Spring (April–May) and fall (September–October) offer mild temps and stunning scenery. Summer is peak cave season — book tours early. Winter is uncrowded with cave temps a constant 54°F year-round.
Getting here
Brownsville, KY is 90 miles south of Louisville and 55 miles north of Bowling Green via US-31W. Nashville is about 2 hours south. No commercial airport — drive or fly into Louisville (SDF) or Nashville (BNA).

Cave tours: closed-toe shoes, light jacket (cave is 54°F). Outdoors: sunscreen, insect repellent, layers for cool mornings. Fishing: KY fishing license required. Hiking: water, trail map, sturdy footwear.
How long to stay
